"In the time of post internet art, an understanding in pure digital media consumption/ production/ redistribution and the philosophy of object-oriented ontology is what frames my field of work. What you see is what you get is the title of my latest work of representation and recontextualisation of "objects" or "pictures" in a "picture". We are used to see "real" sculptures as pictures in the net, we rarely go there and walk around and look at a sculpture. Instead we flick through masses of pictures online every day. This work is about the question of our validation of mass and reality."

Sonnenzimmer

Sonnenzimmer is Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi. "Having worked out of the Bird Machine for several years—mentored by Jay Ryan—we decided to start our own shop in Summer of 2006. A happy string of events helped it all come together. Sonnenzimmer is located on the northside of Chicago, in a neighborhood called Roscoe Village. Here we meet, greet, hang out with fellow friends and artists and crank away in the kindred spirit of our Chicago colleagues."

Hugues Reip

3. Eden, 2007

—In his works, Hugues Reip reflects upon how the perception of ordinary, uneventful environments changes when it is temporally fragmented, sped up, slowed down, enlarged or inverted from moment to moment.
—In 'Eden', he presented an installation of flowers from southern France, which he had enlarged, printed and mounted on individual wooden structures which stood by themselves. Additionally, he also integrates sound into visual art to work with the aspect of abstract poetry or narrative in music. —Source.

Andre Bergamin

—I work mainly with vintage illustrations from old magazine ads and from animal illustrated encyclopedias from the 80's. I have a major interest in vintage advertising and propaganda, and the way it explores icons that have always been so deeply ingrained in the collective unconscious. The illustrations in old animal encyclopedias are just beautiful and have a sort of fantastic attribute that always amuses me.

—I kind of believe that collage is the main artform of postmodernism and that you can identify it in lots of contemporary art, advertising and even in music. Since we have no more modernist avant garde movement to follow, everything is nothing less than a big cut and paste of different sources and references.

He graduated in Communication (with emphasis in advertising and propaganda) from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul and he is finishing a major in Graphic Design at Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos.

An idiosyncratic dress pattern takes a viral turn, generating a dreamlike virtual space beyond the sleeping figure it engulfs as it threatens to move beyond the paper.—Gonorthgallery.

"The painted and collaged patterns act as a form of camouflage to hide and protect the body. These detailed patterned spaces are often psychologically charged, dealing with issues of control, power, entrapment and escape."
