Spaceship is two 24 year-old graphic artists from germany who decided to found their personal playground in form of a small designstudio this year. 'We focus on custom Typography, experimental Illustration and projects in the sector of music and fashion. With completely different backgrounds in art and graphic we thought it 'd be best to put our skills together to fill the gaps.'

"I studied communication design with emphasis on film, new media and sound -a lot of theoretical stuff was involved, which was good in many ways but didn't gave me that sort of direct creative output I needed. After graduation I decided not to go down that route any longer and started with illustration. —My works are about the “invisible people.” People who, instead of getting along with others, choose to keep a distance from them, and be invisible or be left alone unconcerned. Instead of trying to fit into the world, they climb into a space of their own and reject other people’s intrusions.
—I was never taught how to do the works I’m doing now. The clear PVC body method is a process I’ve created on my own. Nobody, that I know of, is working with these materials or techniques currently. The faces are also of materials that that sculptors typically don’t use.
—In order to show anywhere in the year I have to be always working. I know there are a lot of other fun things in the world - but if I lose myself in other fun things, I will lose the time to work on my sculptures.

Shyness and discontentment with his own inadequateness is a strong driving force. He likes white and empty rooms because of the space in which things can happen. Has plenty of useless knowledge about a lot of things nobody is interested in. He is not easily impressable but can fall in love with certain incidental movements which are not intended for somebody. —My work explores perceptions of beauty and horror, comfort and discomfort.
