When finding these paintings for a moment I wondered if they were a new series of Gerhard Richter's overpainted photographs. The colors used were much more striking though. They were made by Yago Hortal (1983), a spanish painter based in Berlin who happens to have a very rich and fluid use of acrylic.

'Marti Guixé (b.1964) is a Catalonian designer living in Barcelona and Berlin. He graduated in interior design from Elisava in Barcelona in 1985 and enrolled in an industrial design study in Politecnico di Milano|Scuola Polytecnica di Design di Milano in 1986. Guixé is very outspoken in his dislike of design as stylized object and form. Rather than reshaping existing products Guixé’s work seeks to alter ways of seeing and thinking. Design to Guixé needs to evoke constant evaluation of the parameters of function and active engagement and reinvention on the part of the consumer. Silja Goetz was born 1974 in Regensburg, Germany. She studied communication design at the GSO College in Nurnberg and after that worked at Allegra Magazine for 2 years. She currently lives and works in Madrid, Spain. "My preferences are constantly changing, right now come this to mind: Maurice Sendak, René Gruau, Jenny Bowers, Sara Fanelli, and Klaus Voormann, for making the Revolver-Cover, for me one of the most beautiful record sleeves of all times." She specialized in Illustration, which was also her focus during her 5 months stay at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in 2006. Together with the illustrators Till Hafenbrak and Paul Paetzel she founded "Édition Biografiktion" in 2008. She currently works as a freelance Illustrator and graphic designer based in Berlin.
