Nathalie du Pasquier

http://www.nathaliedupasquier.com/

Beautiful hues. I am always fascinated by the architectural quality of objects. Probably that is what is cautivating about still lifes, they are like landscapes on a table.

"Nathalie du Pasquier was born in Bordeaux (France) in 1957, she has lived in Milano since 1979. Until 1986 she worked as a designer and was a founder member of Memphis for which she designed many textiles, carpets, furniture and objects. When the group broke up in 87, painting became her main activity."

Veronica Blejman

http://www.blejman.net/

The work of the argentinian artist, Veronica Blejman. "I’m very self-referential, a lot of things happen in my life all the time. I capitalize that. Also I like seeing others, I’m professional being nosey and doing gossip. Sometime I’m in a bar, and without intentions I start to hear a conversation that inspires me to make illustrations. Situations of the daily life inspire me, I take off the context and I put into a drawing. It’s like I make some moments eternal. Cinema/movies also inspire me, as well as books, music, old magazines, or staying with my friends and chatting. Always I have something of that."—Fad Magazine.

Visual artist who lives and works in Lima. Fauna forms part of "Dibujando B...", a research project by Gilda Mantilla and Raimond Chavez, around drawing, travel and latinamerican context. First phase, three week river trip from Peruvian Andes to the triple peruvian, colombian and brazilian border with notebooks and pencils. Second phase, studio work. "We like to draw; we think it underlies all we do as a knowledge and experience tool. Those connecting dots allow us to create an image of the world. Drawing may allow us to rethink it or imagine it in different ways."
